The Second Annual Road To The Bash is taking place tonight (May 8, 2010) at Ruta Maya in Austin Texas. This is a gig that will help the bands performing get some financial assistance for the trip to play the 3rd Annual Backwoods Bash Music and Camping Festival at Walnut Creek State Park in Prue, Oklahoma this Memorial Day Weekend.
Three of the four bands from Austin who will play Backwoods Bash will be performing including Michael "J.P.G" Gibson, The Jeremy Miller Band, and Go Action Team.
Cover is $8 and the money from the door will help fund these bands gas $$ for the trip to Oklahoma. Let's help these guys rock out the Okies by giving them some of the ATX fire.
If you're up to a road trip... see these guys + 25 other independent bands from several states play the Backwoods Bash. This year's headliners are the Red Dirt Rangers. The tickets are $20 for the weekend and camping is permitted... nay.. encouraged.
